About Me

ABOUT THE THERAPIST
Taylor Wright, M.S., CCC-SLP
I am a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with 16 years of experience treating children with a wide spectrum of communication support needs.
I value authentic relationships and meaningful connections in therapy, and know that children do well when they feel valued, supported, and seen.
I am also a speech geek and hold myself to the highest standard of continuous learning and professional growth. My passion is delivering exceptional evidence-based interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes.
I provide services in North Richland Hills, TX, and via telehealth anywhere in Texas and California (coming soon to Indiana).
MOTOR SPEECH DISORDERS
Childhood Apraxia of Speech
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a rare motor speech disorder that impacts a child's ability to plan and program the complex movements for speaking.
Recognizing, diagnosing, and treating CAS and related motor speech disorders requires specialized training that differs from traditional articulation and phonological approaches. Speech therapists in generalist settings may encounter a handful of children with CAS during their career.
As a specialist, my background includes:
-
clinical practicum in the diagnosis of motor speech disorders
-
4+ years practicing in a specialty CAS clinic
-
treatment of over 100 clients with CAS
-
current caseload of over 90% CAS/suspected CAS
-
CAS-focused continuing education, training, and collaboration
I have extensive treatment experience using DTTC, ReST, Speech Motor Chaining, PROMPT, and Speech Intelligibility Treatment (for dysarthria) with clients ages 2-21 with a wide range of severities and co-occurring diagnoses.

GESTALT LANGUAGE PROCESSING &
Natural Language Acquisition
I began my SLP career in a special education classroom setting, integrating communication and educational support for children with receptive-expressive and pragmatic language differences, echolalia, hyperlexia, and autism.
My foundational approach is drawn from the SCERTS model, and I have always prioritized a strengths-based approach that values each child’s interests, emotional regulation, and sensory needs over compliance-based practices.
In 2021, a parent introduced me to the work of Meaningful Speech’s Alex Zachos and Marge Blanc, which profoundly shaped the direction of my practice. Since then, I have shifted my focus toward Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) to better support children who develop language through echolalia. I am now a trained NLA and Meaningful Speech provider and am excited to offer this approach at Con Moto Speech Services.
